The growing freelance population in Brooklyn has inspired the library to organize its 2nd Annual “Celebrate Small Business in Brooklyn” day, focusing this year on freelancing. Featuring a keynote address by Elaine Pofeldt (Author, The Million Dollar One-Person Business, Forbes, CNBC, Fortune, Money) and a panel of entrepreneurs on making the mental transition from freelancer to businessperson, and the advantages of identifying as a business. Panelists include Ramon Ray (Freelancers Union), Iris Scott (Visual Artist), and Kelly Tsai (Writer, Performer), moderated by Elaine Pofeldt.
